Terms and conditions
These terms apply when you book a recovery, a roadside job or a planned tow with Tow Recovery.
Tow Recovery provides vehicle recovery and roadside assistance from 17 Shirley Avenue, Reading RG2 8TE. By asking us to quote or attend you accept these terms.
Quotes and booking
A quote given on the phone or through the website is a fixed price for the job described. If the vehicle, location or access changes, we will tell you the new figure before we start. Sending a website form is a request, not a confirmed booking. A live-lane or motorway job should be phoned through on 7868291346.
Payment
Payment is due when the work is completed unless we have agreed an account in writing. We accept card, bank transfer and cash. We do not invoice an insurer unless you have given written instruction. Storage, waiting time caused by a locked site, and a second destination that was not quoted are charged only after we have told you the amount.
Your vehicle
You confirm you have the right to move the vehicle. We photograph it before loading. We take reasonable care while it is in our control. Goods-in-transit and public liability cover apply to every recovery. Personal items should be removed before we travel where it is safe to do so.
Access and safety
If a street, car park or site is too tight or too low for the truck we quoted, we will offer a spec lift, a meeting point or a different vehicle. We will not work in a live lane in a way that puts the driver or the public at risk. We may refuse or stop a job if the scene is unsafe.
Cancellation
You may cancel a planned tow without charge until the truck has left the yard. If the truck has already travelled, a call-out fee equal to the time and distance already used may apply. We will tell you that figure before we invoice it.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. For other loss our liability is limited to the price of the job or the limit of our insurance, whichever is higher. We are not responsible for delay caused by traffic, weather, closures or a third party we do not control.
Law
